Add Mailsoftly to Claude
Connect Mailsoftly to your AI assistant in one click from its connector directory, choose what the assistant may do, and learn how sending unlocks on a new account.
Mailsoftly is listed in the Claude directory, so Claude can work in your account without a URL to paste or a key to copy. Once connected, you ask in plain language: find a contact, build a list, draft a newsletter, ask how the last campaign did, and, only if you allow it, send.
This guide is the short path: connect, choose permissions, and understand the one thing that surprises new accounts, which is that sending needs a channel of your own before campaigns go out.
Press Connect in the Claude directory
Open the Mailsoftly listing in the Claude directory and press Connect. Claude sends you to Mailsoftly’s own consent screen in your browser. If you already have an account, sign in. If you do not, create one right there with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or an email address; the connection continues as soon as the account exists.
Everything after this point happens on Mailsoftly’s screens, not Claude’s.
Connectors from the directory are available on paid Claude plans, on the web, desktop and mobile apps. Any other MCP client can use the same server by URL; see Connect an AI assistant with MCP.
Choose what Claude may do
The consent screen lists every permission Claude is asking for in plain language: read and write contacts, lists and tags, read campaigns and their results, create and edit drafts, manage the suppression list, read the account. Sending is not in that list. It appears as a separate checkbox, off by default, labelled so you cannot miss it. Leave it off and Claude prepares everything while you press send yourself in Mailsoftly. Tick it and Claude can send a draft when you ask it to.
Press Allow access. You land back in Claude with Mailsoftly connected.
You can change your mind later. Revoking the connection and connecting again shows the same screen, so turning sending on or off is a one-minute job.
Ask, and watch the drafts appear in Mailsoftly
Ask Claude for what you want in your own words. A draft it writes lands in your campaigns as a normal draft, from a text brief placed in a responsive layout, from a saved template in your account, or from HTML you paste into the chat. Ask for a change and Claude edits the same draft instead of making a second one. Ask how a campaign did and it reads delivered, opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes.
If you ask Claude to send and the account is brand new, it will tell you sending is locked and name the exact steps, in order: connect your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account (verified organizations are trusted automatically), connect a personal Gmail or Outlook mailbox, or authenticate your own sending domain. Every account’s first campaigns also pass a short content review before delivery. Claude tells you when a campaign is queued for review, and you are emailed when it is approved; no account change speeds that part up.
With the sending permission on, "send it" means real mail reaches real people and there is no unsend. Keep the permission off until you are comfortable, and review drafts in Mailsoftly first.
Turn the connection off whenever you want
Open Settings, then the Advanced group, then Connected apps. Claude is listed with who authorized it, when, and the permissions it holds. Revoke access stops it immediately for the whole company. You can also remove the connector from Claude’s side.
