Measure automation performance
Read your automation statistics in Mailsoftly, compare each drip step, and connect the numbers to enrolled contacts so you know what to improve next.
An automation is only as good as the results it produces, so it is worth checking how yours perform. Mailsoftly gives you a Statistics view for every flow, plus a per message breakdown for drips.
This guide shows you where to find the numbers, how to read them per step, and how to tie them back to the contacts behind the metrics.
Find the automation to measure
Open your Automations and pick the flow you want to review. Each one keeps its own record, so you can compare a welcome flow against a longer nurture at a glance.
- The status on each card tells you what is worth reading: Active flows are sending, while Draft ones have no results yet.
- Open the flow whose results you want to dig into, or use the overall statistics view to compare every automation in one table.

Open your automation statistics in Mailsoftly
Open the Statistics tab
The Statistics tab summarizes how the flow is doing, with the key numbers in one place. This is your headline view of whether the automation is working.
- The cards read Emails sent, Open rate, Click rate, Contacts enrolled, and In flow now, the last showing how many people are mid flow right now.
- Set the Period to Last 7 days, Last 30, Last 90, or All time. Within a period, each rate shows how it moved versus the previous one.
- An Engagement funnel below breaks the flow down into sent, opened, and clicked, plus bounced and unsubscribed.
Use this view to spot a flow that is underperforming before you go deeper.
Give a new flow time to gather data before you judge it. A rate based on a handful of contacts can swing a lot, so wait until enough people have moved through.

Compare a drip step by step
For a multi step drip, open the By email breakdown to see how each message performs on its own. Comparing messages shows you exactly where people drop off, so you know which email to rewrite first.
- Each row is one email in the sequence with its own sent, open rate, and click rate.
- Click into a message to see its Recipients, filtered by All, Opened, Clicked, or Not opened, which turns a weak rate into a list of real people to learn from.
The weakest message is usually your biggest opportunity to improve.
To measure an experiment, add a "Random split (A/B test)" Condition in the builder and send a different email on each branch. The By email breakdown then lists both, so you can compare the two variants side by side and keep the winner.

Connect the numbers to contacts
Numbers tell you what happened; the Contacts tab tells you to whom. Open it to see the people enrolled and where each one sits, which turns a rate into something you can act on.
Open and click rates count real recipient activity only. Bot and scanner hits are filtered out, so these numbers reflect actual people, not inflated inbox scans.
