Set up your company profile

Set up your Mailsoftly company profile so the right business name and postal address appear in your email footers, and share your referral link.

Your company profile holds the business details that appear in the footer of the emails you send. This guide shows how to fill it in so every message carries the right name and address.

You will open your company profile, add your business name and postal address, keep those footer details current, then find your referral link. Each step shows the screen you will use.

Open your company profile

Go to your Company Information screen to see the business details Mailsoftly uses across your account. Alongside your company logo, you will find fields for Company Name, Contact Email, Domain Name, Industry, Phone, Number Of Employees, and a free text Address. This is the company record, kept separate from your personal profile, so a change here applies everywhere your business appears.

Add your business name and postal address

Fill in your Company Name, a full postal address in the Address box, and your Phone number. These three fields are the ones that appear in your email footer, which subscribers expect to see and which help your messages look trustworthy. The other fields, like Industry and Number Of Employees, tune your account without showing up in the footer. Press Save Changes so every email you send picks up the new details.

Keep your footer details current

If your business name, address, or phone ever changes, update it here once and it flows through to the footer of future emails automatically. You can also make the same footer edit straight from a campaign, since those fields are tied to this company record and update it account wide.

Note

An accurate postal address in your footer is a common requirement for bulk email. Keeping it correct helps your emails reach the inbox.

Share your referral link and see who joins

Your referral link exists from the day your account is created, so there is nothing to generate. In the settings menu, under Advanced, open Referrals. The Copy and share your referral code field already holds a signup link with your code in it, and Get your referral link now copies it. To send it by email instead, enter one address under Invite people via email and press Send Invitation, and Mailsoftly writes to them on your behalf. Below that, Your Referrals lists every company that signed up through your link, with their company name, contact address and the date they joined. Until someone does, it tells you the list is empty. Anyone in your account can open this screen and copy the link, though sending an email invitation needs an admin.

Only signups that arrive through the link are counted.

Note

The screen says referrals earn you discounts or recurring income, and links out to the page carrying the current terms. Nothing is credited to your account automatically, so check that page for what applies today.

With your company profile set, your emails carry the right details every time, and your referral link is ready whenever you want to share it.
