This free DMARC checker looks up the DMARC record for any domain and analyzes the policy it publishes. DMARC is a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com that tells receiving mail servers what to do with messages that fail SPF or DKIM alignment: p=none only monitors, p=quarantine sends failures to spam, and p=reject blocks them outright. The checker also reads your aggregate reporting address (rua), percentage tag and subdomain policy, and flags weak spots such as a missing record or a policy left at none. Gmail and Yahoo now require DMARC from bulk senders, so run this check before your next campaign.
A valid DMARC record is a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com that starts with v=DMARC1 and sets a policy, for example v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:[email protected]. The p tag controls enforcement (none, quarantine or reject) and rua tells mailbox providers where to send aggregate reports so you can see who is sending as your domain.
